
The Ukrainian International Institute for Restoration was established in 2023 as an extraterritorial non-profit professional organization to coordinate expert, scientific, and project support in the areas of spatial planning, territorial development, infrastructural transformation, and the recovery of Ukraine.
UIIR operates as a non-profit organization in accordance with the current legislation of Ukraine and does not pursue profit-making goals.
The Institute functions as a platform for professional interaction between the scientific community, practitioners, local communities, local governments, specialized institutions, and international partners.
The following specialized centers operate within the framework of UIIR:
· Center for Architectural and Building Design;
· Center for Urban Planning;
· Center for Architectural Structures;
· Center for Community and Regional Development;
· Scientific and Methodological Center;
· Center for Military Architecture and Engineering;
· Center for Energy Transformation and Decarbonization;
· Center for Strategic-Economic Planning and Land Management;
· Center for General Educational Projects;
· Center for Analytics, Management, and Project Support.
Organizational Structure
The highest governing body of UIIR is the General Meeting of authorized representatives of local governments who are members of the Association.
The powers of the General Meeting include:
· forming the UIIR Board;
· electing the President of UIIR;
· electing the First Vice-President — Executive Director of UIIR;
· electing the Vice-Presidents of UIIR;
· determining the strategic directions of the Institute’s activities.
In the period between sessions of the General Meeting, the management of UIIR activities is carried out by the UIIR Board, which makes decisions on all matters of the Institute’s statutory activities that do not fall within the exclusive competence of the General Meeting.

The Ukrainian International Institute for Restoration brings together scientists, architects, engineers, analysts, representatives of local self-government bodies, and international partners to provide professional support to territorial communities, prepare strategic solutions, and implement projects aimed at the modernization, development, and transformation of Ukrainian territories.
UIIR fosters an environment of interdisciplinary interaction, combining expertise, science, a project-based approach, and practical experience to create long-term solutions for territorial and infrastructural development.
